Maizal Mexican Kitchen offers a warm, vibrant escape. The moment you step inside, you’re welcomed by an abundance of lush greenery that gives the space a homey, inviting feel. Splashes of bright color accent the room, creating an atmosphere that is both lively and comforting without feeling overdone. Service at Maizal is a standout feature. Our server was professional, friendly, and impressively knowledgeable—guiding us through the menu with enthusiasm and expertise. That level of care extended to the bar as well. Our cocktails were fantastic, crafted with fresh ingredients that elevated every sip. Even the chips and salsa hinted at the culinary adventure ahead: familiar yet elevated, signaling that this wasn’t going to be the typical Mexican restaurant experience. Maizal specializes in Oaxacan cuisine—one of Mexico’s most distinctive and celebrated culinary traditions—and it shows. The mole was rich and layered, striking that perfect balance of depth and warmth. The tamales were equally memorable, soft, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to authenticity. Both dishes were so good, in fact, that we booked our next visit before finishing our meal—and we’re bringing friends along to share the experience. A final but significant highlight: the mezcal menu. It’s extensive and thoughtfully curated, showcasing not only well-known labels but also rare, hard-to-find bottles that mezcal enthusiasts will truly appreciate. It reflects a passion for craftsmanship and quality that runs throughout the entire restaurant. In short, Maizal Mexican Kitchen delivers on every level—ambiance, service, cocktails, cuisine, and spirits. I walked away thoroughly impressed and already eager to return. This is a restaurant that knows exactly what it’s doing and does it exceptionally well.

This is my new favorite place to get fish tacos. The Baja tacos were absolutely one of the top 10 meals that I’ve had of a Mexican variety!!! The fish was fried and crisp to absolute perfection, and I don’t even like coleslaw and it was fantastic on these! The small strips of mango added the zing and sweetness that completed the whole thing. And their rumless piña colada was to die for as well. The atmosphere was top tier and so immersive, I can only compare it to my experiences at Disney world! Amazing restaurant, 10/10, I will be back with everyone I know!

Everything tasted fantastic, the La Rhumba drink honestly only tasted like lime with a hint of coconut lurking around, wouldve liked a little more coconut flavor to be there but still alright. Server was very attentive and kind, always a good experience. The atmosphere was incredibly loud, some songs were louder than the already loud ones.

We were an older party of four. One diner’s chicken was a bit overcooked but everything else was great. Cozy bar area with a top notch knowledgeable young woman barkeep slinging the drinks. Food was reasonable and good, servers were friendly and hard-working. The space is very nicely decorated, but it’s probably real noisy when it gets crowded, so weekdays might be better.

This is a must visit location if you enjoy authentic Mexican with a suburban twist! Great location and absolutely splendid food. I always get the fajitas which come out sizzling hot each time. I went yesterday with my mother and were blown away by our amazing server and how quickly we were met with water and chips and salsa to start. I’ve been here over 10 times and will always rave about this place.

The mole Amarillo is the most interesting sauce I’ve ever had. I could bathe in it. I’ve frequented this place since they’ve opened. Somehow I feel their mole sauces have substantially improved. I’ve always loved the mole negro and it’s still fantastic. I love the nuisances in the lighter moles they offer with the red and verde. However, their new Amarillo is a home run Michelin ready addition to the menu. I wish they would offer their moles with their chips because that’s how I like them.
